Mondays were always awful, but yesterday had been particularly awful because Kitty had to teach and Clint had to check on the gym and all he really wanted to do was stay in bed and enjoy the fact that they had each other during a time when... certain tensions were high.

(At least there was one less awkward thing for Steve to report on the radio?)

Today though, Clint didn't have anywhere important to be, Kitty didn't have to be at Caritas until later, and Clint had planned ahead and locked the bedroom door the night before so the dogs couldn't get in. Once he woke up, he rolled over, wrapping his arms around Kitty, and nuzzled at her neck. "Hey, you weren't planning on going anywhere right away, right?"

"Okay, that comment is just asking for a penis joke, I'm sorry," Clint said, laughing.

"...Okay this is not the time to make me laugh," she totally laughed. "I'm trying to be all sexy over here."

"You're being very, very sexy, don't worry," Clint said. "No matter how weird I am, you being the most gorgeous woman in this town is not going to change."

"Ooh, nice save," Kitty said, kissing him. "It also helps that there are like a hundred people in this town."

"Hey now, that is not the point," Clint said, squirming happily. "You would be the most beautiful if there were two hundred people on the island."

"You are definitely biased," she said between kisses. "But I'm kind of okay with that and think you should stay that way. Like, forever."

"I'm pretty sure part of being married is being biased in your direction forever. That's how it works," Clint insisted.

"Only if it works out," Kitty said, like a true child of divorce, but smiled, "and I can feel really confident that it will."
